The DONIC wood sealant is a special water-based varnish that was specifically developed for sealing table tennis bat wood. It protects the bat wood from fraying and increases the durability of the wood surface without affecting the playing properties of the wood.
Features and functions:
VOC-free : The wood sealant is based on a water-based formula that does not contain any volatile organic solvents (VOCs). This makes it particularly environmentally friendly and safe for use.
Protection against fraying : The DONIC Formula Lacquer forms a protective layer on the surface of the racket wood. This layer prevents the wood from fraying when removing table tennis rubbers, which extends the lifespan and appearance of the racket wood.
Retention of playing characteristics : The sealant does not affect the natural flexibility and ball feel of the wood. The playing characteristics of the racket remain unchanged, so players can continue to enjoy a natural playing feel.
Easy to use : The varnish is simply applied and spread evenly over the hitting surface. The sealant can be applied evenly using the sponge head provided.
Multi-layer application : For unsealed bats, it is recommended to apply two coats of sealant. The first coat is applied evenly and allowed to dry thoroughly. Once completely dry, the second coat is applied to ensure maximum protection.
Safe application : The water-based formula dries quickly and leaves no unsightly residue on the wood surface. Already sealed club woods with a print on the face often do not require additional sealing.
Application:
Preparation :
Clean the face of your club wood from dirt and dust. Wiping it with a soft cloth beforehand is sufficient.
Applying the sealant :
Apply a small amount of the sealer evenly to the face of the clubwood using the sponge head.
Spread the paint evenly in a thin, even coat, being careful not to over-paint any areas.
Let dry :
Allow the first coat to dry thoroughly. This may take several hours depending on the room temperature and humidity.
After drying, apply a second coat to increase protection.
Racket blades with printing :
If your club already has printing on the face, it is usually already sealed. In this case, you may not need any additional sealing.
Care :
Store the sealed racket in a dry and cool place. Before playing, the surface of the racket should be free of dirt and dust to ensure optimal playing characteristics.
Advantages:
Environmentally friendly : VOC-free and water-based, therefore safe to use.
Long-term protection : Prevents fraying and protects against damage.
Retention of playing characteristics : The varnish does not affect the flexibility and playing feel of the racket wood.
Easy handling : The sealant can be applied easily and evenly using the sponge head.
Increased durability : Prevents fraying and protects the bat wood from wear.
The DONIC wood sealant is the ideal solution for anyone who wants to preserve the durability and appearance of their table tennis bat wood in the long term without compromising the quality of the playing characteristics.
What is Lorem Ipsum?
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularized in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
Why do we use it?
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humor and the like).
